Christmas Crafts, Winter Crafts, Our Favorite SNOW CRAFTS

Are you looking for unique Christmas crafts for children? These snow decorations are fun, easy, and inexpensive Christmas crafts for children of all ages! In fact, you'll probably have as much fun with them as the kids do. This idea comes from a teacher’s convention. We have been making Q-tip snowflakes for years. The activity was so enjoyable that we do it at home too, and hang the intricate snowflakes from the ceiling using fishing line. The result is incredible—transforming hallways, windows, and entries into a winter wonderland. Christmas crafts for children or not, these snowflakes bring out the kid in all of us.
Q Tip Snowflake
What You Need
* Q-Tips (or cotton swabs)
* Glue
* Wax Paper
* Glitter
What You Do:
* Give each of your children small circles cut from wax paper. Have them glue on Q-tips in the rough shape of a snowflake with all touching in a middle puddle of glue. Sprinkle glitter onto the snowflake, and then let it dry for a couple of days. When it is dry you can peel it from the paper and you have a wonderful snowflake
Note: You can also use colored paper and let them leave it on the paper (this option required us to add additional glue to ensure the qtips stayed up.)
Note: Add string before it dries to make the snowflake an ornament.
