This simple turkey crafts for kids can be completed while mom is in the kitchen cooking. Dad can oversee some outrageously creative creatures. Turkeys for thanksgiving. BUT you know the imagination goes while and kids come up with some GREAT creature to eat!

Apple Turkey

Materials:

Apples

Colored Toothpicks

Colored Mini Marshmallows, raisins, cranberries (dried) fruit loops, candy corn, gummies, Gumdrop
large marshmellows

Instructions

The apple is the body of the turkey.

Add colored mini marshmallows,raisins, cranberries (dried) fruit loops, candy cor to 5 or 6 toothpicks and stick them in one end of the apple in a fan shape like a tail.

Use a toothpick for the neck and a gumdrop (or large marshmellow) for the head

Use Three Yellow Toothpicks for the legs, in a trianglar position so the turkey can stand up.

As you can see the possiblities are endless.

*this is a project better suited for children 4 and up.
