Simple & Easy Preschool Christmas Crafts

Free Christmas and winter holidays preschool activities, crafts, suitable for toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarten Preschool Christmas Crafts have always been very popular, so whether you're just looking for some free craft ideas to keep the children entertained on a winter's day or you're looking for children's holiday party ideas, you are at the right place.
This is such an EASY project and takes very little time and money. You can buy a bag of 12 Ghirardelli chocolate squares at Walmart for $2.96. My personal favorites are the white mint chocolate and caramel. This will make 12 little thoughtful tokens to give at Christmastime. Costco also sells the square chocolates in huge bags starting around November. I really like this project because it doesn't have to be "perfect" to look cute. You may even want to punch a little hole at the top of the gingerbread man's head and string narrow ribbon through for a Christmas ornament. Wouldn't these look cute hanging on your tree?

PRESCHOOL CHRISTMAS CRAFT: Gingerbread Man Candy holders

Bag of Ghirardelli choclate squares
Medium Brown Cardstock
Scissors
Tape (double stick optional)
Puffy Paint -shiny white, black & red

Instructions:

1. Place gingerbread man pattern on "gingerbread color" cardstock. Trace pattern with a pencil and cut out. I like to trace with a pencil because you can always erase those little lines afterwards.
2. Take a Ghirardelli choolate square and tape down the two ends of the candy wrapper. With permanent double-stick tape, attach chocolate square to the gingerbread man's tummy. Next, fold over the gingerbread man's hands to make it look like he is holding the candy. Attach his hands to the chocolate with double-stick tape, as well.
3. Place a small zig-zag pattern on top of his hands and around the gingerbread man with "shiny white" puffy paint. (I buy the little bottles at Michael's.)
Be sure to touch the surface of the paper when making the zig-zags and keep the pattern small. It will show less mistakes this way.
4. Make the eyes and the nose with a dot of "shiny black" puffy paint and use "shiny Christmas red" for the mouth. You may want to draw the mouth with a pencil before outlining it with the puffy paint. Allow to dry and cure for a couple of days.
