CREATE CUSTOM PRINTABLE CRAFT INSTRUCTIONS

These Easter Crafts make great preschool crafts to decorate your home or classroom. Celebrate Easter with this fun and cute egg decorations. Kids will love that it's a fun craft to make and all you need are a few easy to find supplies.
We saw the a photo of some egg animals at at Family Fun and HAD to try it the holiday kids craft way without the danger of hot glue and the "danger" of permanent marker! This kid friendly craft is designed to be open ended.
The only RULE we had was that each child had to complete one animal, creature or person.

I would recommend this craft for ages 5 and up. The little kids might get a bit frustrated (and the googly eyes can be a danger.)We opted to use taky glue so that the children could really create these eggs start to finish. This open ended art project occupied all the artists for almost an hour. Each child took time to make three completely different egg creatures.
These plastic eggs turned into blue birds, bunnies, a grandma, a chick, elephant, hampster and several silly creatures.

 

Plastic Egg Creations

MATERIALS:
plastic eggs
googly eyes
foam stickers (a bucket of shapes and bucket of letters)
tacky glue

 

optional supplies: stickers, toliet tissue rolls decorated with tissue paper or felt to create bodies or stands for your egg creations.

 

INSTRUCTIONS: All the children to pick a color of egg and decorate!
the children were provided several simple examples to give them ideas.

 

HINT: Adding eyes first seemed to help them start their creations easier. Stick a piece of foam sticker on the egg in the location of the googly eye. Then glue the eye (with tacky glue) right on top of the sticker. This will keep the eye in place and the glue dries quicker than when applied directly to the plastic egg)
