Here is a wonderful way to remind your children of the Easter Story

We LOVE to use these originally designed coloring pages to create crafts like bookmarks, lapbook covers, greeting cards and even puppets. This activity was created to illustrate The Easter Story (Taken from Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John). If possible these printable crafts should be put on index paper to make them durable for play. Cut on the dotted line and wrap them in a cylender glue or staple the back. You can also adhere them to toilet tubes. Print and Color the background and adhere it to a cereal box.

Holding a crayon and making a mark gives a toddler a HUGE sense of accomplishment. I find that coloring is a great introductory activity to children who are new or shy. They get a chance to be active, safely observe and get time to get use to a new situation. Preschoolers can show off their knowledge of their colors and put to work they small little fingers. Coloring is also a good warm up for little kids' imagination, and help them develop thinking skills. Coloring is also a very portable activity that is easy to pack in a day bag, diaper bag or purse. You only need to stash a few (or a few dozen) printed pages and a small box of crayons to be ready whenever the coloring moment strikes: in a restaurant, the waiting room, a friends house.
