MARY : Advent Christmas Crafts

Here are some excellent kids craft ideas. We use these each year in our house. These Christmas crafts emphasize the TRUE meaning of Christmas - Jesus Christ's birth. Religious Christmas crafts are suitable for church, Sunday School and family gatherings. Take time away from the hustle and bustle of commercialism and gather your family for some Christian Christmas Crafts.

 

This is Mary. Jesus' Mother. She was kind and gentle and loved God very much. She was just the right person to be Jesus' mother.

We chose to turn this image into a simple ornament. Printed with an ink jet on regular paper we then brushed it with oil to create a semi translucent image. We cut a simple frame from black construction paper And completed the project by hanging it on the tree with a single strand of gold thread. (its a small image right click and "save as" to print)

 

 

 

The younger children created Mother & Child homemade ornaments by printing out the templates from First School

 

 

This project is pretty self explanatory. Print out the templates.

Color them in (if you choose the black and white templates)

Cut them out and assemble with glue.

Adhere to card stock or heavier paper to create a handmade ornament that can be hung through the top star.

 

Make sure to read the biblical account of the story to your children to give them a greater appreciation of the project they are completing.
