Crafting and Kids These seasonal crafts, coloring pages and activities are geared for ages 3 to 8 years old. In Hawaiian the word 'Luau' means feast. And a luau is given for any reason, at anytime it's a fun loving, food filled party with good friends and family. You can do it up really big or tone it down and just have a touch of the islands. It's up to you and your imagination. 

I’ve found it is always a good idea to have a simple, seasonal craft project in mind when you have a group of kids for a holiday. It brings them together and adds an element of tradition to the festivities. Holidays should be about creating positive lifelong memories.
While your children may not be able to participate in much of the cooking or preparing of a Luau dinner or purchasing Luau gifts, you can put them to use by allowing them to decorate the house in anticipation with handmade Luau crafts. Our tradition is to set up a craft table with several different projects at the gathering. We use those crafts as presents for visiting family and decorations for our home. Here have provided you simple printable instructions with photos of each project so children as young as four can complete the tasks without too much adult assistance.
