CREATE CUSTOM PRINTABLE CRAFT INSTRUCTIONS

These Easter Crafts make great preschool crafts to decorate your home or classroom. Celebrate Easter with this fun and cute chick decorations. Kids will love that it's a fun craft to make and all you need are a few easy to find supplies. Make dozens of Easter crafts, like bunnies, baskets, cards, and treats! Here you will find printable craft templates for preschool and kindergarten kids Easter crafts.

PAPER CUP CHICK
a preschool version of the spring chicken

Materials
yellow paper cup
scissors
white glue
google eyes
orange, yellow construction paper

optional: pink construction paper, feathers, green pipe cleaner

There are a couple different options for your little paper cup chicks. We will give you instructions for the basic paper version. (Adding feathers is as simple as gluing them on instead of using construction paper.)

1. Cut yellow construction paper into strips about two inches wide. Have your child cut a fringe on one side of the construction paper (to represent feathers). This is a great first cutting project since the kids practice the hand motion of opening and closing the scissors. My two year olds cut all the fringe on our project.
   
2. With the cup upside down, glue on the strips of fringe yellow to the cup
   
3. Out of Yellow Construction paper - Cut an oval or circle for the face. (You can trace the bottom of the cup or free draw an oval)
4. Cut an oval for the wings - now cut that oval in half to create a pair of wings
5. Cut a small orange triangle for the beak
   
6. Cut an orange heart for the feet. Now cut little triangles to make the "toes"
   

Add embellishments - such as a bow on the head, a bunch of flowers (in which case you will need to use the pink construction paper and pipe cleaner)

Over the years, I have evolved and grown into my job as a mother, as my family has evolved and grown in size. With each child, my world changed, not only in mathematical terms but also in dynamics, imagination and creativity!

So this website grew from a place to store all our holiday kids crafts to one that shows off our home school learning crafts on the topics of the kid's choice.

The children in turn have become creative designers and are working on their own craft ideas, personal interest websites and business blogs. Yes, they are only in elementary school. However, in this house we focus on each child choosing a business to explore and create.
