Preschool Crafts for Spring St Patricks Day

Spring is in the air. Time to pull out some preschool crafts to decorate your home or classroom. Enjoy these Preschool Crafts for Kids to create for Spring and especially St Patrick's Day. A photo of each completed craft they are complete with easy printable craft instructions. The great thing is about Preschool Crafts is no one cares about showing glue or crooked edges, which makes it ideal for playing with techniques that might be new to your kids.

St Patricks Day Derby

Enjoy making this green St. Patrick's Day derby.
Leprechauns will be green with envy when they behold you in this lucky St. Patrick's Day derby hat.

Materials

• Scissors
• Green Construction Paper (2-3 pieces)
• 1 piece of white paper
• Colors, markers
• Metallic or Green pipe cleaner
• Pencil
• Glue
  Tape

This is a fairly simple project but its likely you will have to help your preschooler cut.

What to do:

Print out the Derby and Shamrock template here.

Trace onto a green sheet of paper and cut out.

Cut out white strip of paper about 3" high the width of the derby. Allow your child to color and decorate that strip

Create a headband with additional green paper. Simply cut into several strips and tape together once you have mearsured it around your child's head.

Poke a hole through several of the shamrocks using the pipe cleaner. Thread the shamrocks through.

Attach the pipecleaner shamrocks and the child colored band to the derby hat with glue. Allow time to dry. Tape the completed hat to the head band.

Enjoy your new holiday costume.
